a week agoWe booked a trip with AfriCanyon River Adventures for July 2025. We didn't know what to expect with it being winter and COLD, but wow we had an amazing time. From rappelling, ziplining, and swimming through the canyon, every moment was EPIC. Our guides Steph and Darren were hilarious and focused on safety. We felt safe every step of the way - especially so after 2.5 weeks of adventure activities - this was the MOST professional team we came across in our time in Southern Africa. Throughout our entire trip, we had a great time with the guides - they were professional, friendly, and accommodating. This was probably the best activity we did on the trip (including safaris, white water rafting, Angel's Pool, shark cage diving, and paragliding), and we hope to do it again in the future! We would highly recommend this specific company and tour.

a week agoIt was an amazing experience. My wife and I had so much fun. It was not a sunny day and not really warm but they gave us two wetsuits and it was enough to not be cold. The best part was the two guides Puna and Tebz ! They were so fun and full of energy ! They know what they’re doing ! You’ll be safe in their hands.

6 months agoWe had the pleasure of being with King Julian (not the one from Madagascar) and Steph.(Stephan not Stephanie)Professional men with high regard to safety. All the while they did also keep it fun and light hearted.Would recommend anyone to go. There were a couple of low and high jumps. Also a zip line ending.

3 months agoPuna, Warren and Essie (reception), along with the rest of the team were stars. Very professional and warm and they prioritised safety. They guided me well through the journey and assisted me as I’m not a strong swimmer. We did abseiling 2x, some jumps, 1 zipline and a bit of a climb. The canyon views are stunning and the water felt just right. The photos are also quite affordable at R220.Be sure to arrive 1 hour beforehand.

a year agoAfricanyon was by far my favorite experience on the Garden Route. Our guides were Darren and Steph and they were fantastic! Not only did they provide clear directions and ensure our safety... They also provided a lot of encouragement when someone was nervous, and they were cracking jokes and entertaining us the whole way. They also got great photos/video for us. Would definitely recommend this to anyone, it was so much fun.
