The Biltong Factory started off as a small operation and has grown into a popular tourist hotspot for those wanting to indulge in some traditional South African fare. Biltong is meat (beef or game, usually) that has been salted, spiced and air-dried to create a really tasty, nutritious snack. It is fantastic for a road trip, as it is light, moreish and easy to hold without making a mess in the car.
Biltong can be dry or wet, or even crisp sticks with different flavours. There is so much scope and variety, and The Biltong Factory uses its skills and experience to create unforgettable flavours and quality. Game meats tend to be less fatty than beef, but there are also lean beef options for those who do not want to indulge in the delicious fatty bits.

3 months agoThe Biltong Factory is conveniently located just off the N2, past the filling station on your right. While they do offer coffee, the main highlight is their biltong, available in various forms, including unique options like biltong wheels. Additionally, you can find dried fruits, jams, preserves, and a selection of candies and sweets. It's an excellent place to grab a thank-you gift or to stock up your picnic basket.

4 months agoA wonderful shopping experience! It is well laid out with a large variety of food products. The biltong and dried wors it to die for. A must visit when passing by. I wish I lived closer.

3 months agoThis is the first time in my life that I’ve ever left a review — that’s how disappointed I am. The chilli sticks is honestly inedible. For R515 per kilogram, I expected good quality, but it’s absolutely horrible. I had to throw half of it away.What makes it worse is that this was my fourth time buying chilli stix there, always hoping they’d improve. Sadly, they’ve only gotten worse. I won’t be supporting them again.
