a week agoBeautiful Saturday market, with live entertainment. Pets are allowed. There is lots of parking space but getting in and out is a struggle once the parking lot nears capacity. So many different stalls - fresh produce, raw meats, beautiful flowers, snacks for pets, different cuisines and hot foods, lots of cakes and tarts. Note that the market closes at 12.00pm.

3 months agoWild Oats Community Farmers’ Market in Sedgefield is a delightful experience for anyone visiting the Garden Route. Located just outside Knysna, this Saturday morning market is a must-visit for foodies, nature lovers, and anyone looking to soak up the local vibe. The market is open from 10-2 pm every Saturday, but vendors start packing up around 1:30 pm. **The food stalls are open from 10-12 pm** The market is well-organized and offers a wide array of fresh, locally-sourced produce. From organic fruits and vegetables to free-range eggs, artisan bread, and homemade cheeses, the selection is impressive and showcases the region’s dedication to sustainability and quality. The farm-to-table ethos here is evident in every stall. One of the highlights is the food section, where you can enjoy a hearty breakfast or pick up delicious snacks. Whether it’s freshly brewed coffee, warm pastries, or indulgent pancakes, there’s something to satisfy every craving. Beyond food, the market also features handcrafted items, plants, and flowers, adding to its charm. The friendly atmosphere is enhanced by the local vendors, who are happy to chat about their products and offer samples. The outdoor setting, surrounded by trees and greenery, makes it a peaceful and relaxing outing. It’s family-friendly, with ample seating and a vibrant buzz that reflects the community spirit of the Garden Route. Overall, Wild Oats is more than just a market—it’s a cultural experience. Whether you’re there to shop, eat, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, it’s a highlight of the area.

3 months agoWe arrived early so parking was not a problem. When walking into the market we were greeted by the delightful music and singing of a local group, authentic Cape sounds and lyrics. The stalls have high quality artisan food, produce and baked goods at affordable prices. Cash is rewarded with discounts but card machines were available at most stalls. The venue is pet friendly with lots of people walking with dogs on leashes. The food stalls provide delicious meals prepared fresh and very quickly. A definite MUST as an outing.

2 months agoAs a local living overseas I always make a point to come here..... delicious local and international tastes. Lovely crafts and arts section. It has become to popular over the years, so very crowded, but I guess it's good for business
