This place gets only great reviews and they truly deserve it. Owner, Tyron, is an amazing young man that hopefully will just grow stronger. Such a pleasure to be always be welcomed with a friendly smile and great service by a person that takes pride in what they do. Well done. I agree with reviewers, the coffee is excellent. Great place. One of the few coffee shops in or around Cape Town that has a 5 star rating with 100+ reviews. It was my first time in strand and being a coffee fanatic, I thought it best to try Ekhaya. It has a great location for a coffee shop, beside the market, promenade and beach. Baristas are cool, interiors are minimalistic yet well thought out, coffee is fantastic, in fact one of the best I've tasted off late. I will highly recommend this coffee shop to any coffee aficionado passing through strand.

This is our post run coffee spot. ​Honestly the best coffee I’ve ever had. Ekhaya is for anyone who truly cares about quality coffee. Not only is the coffee exceptional, but they also sell beans and ground coffee tailored specifically to your brewing method at home. It’s a small business with a great heart—the baristas are really friendly and knowledgeable. Plus, they have a nice selection of snacks to go with your brew. A must-visit!

The best coffee in the Helderberg... maybe even a much wider radius! Tastes great under normal circumstances but even better after a 5km run on a Sunday morning ;) Always greeted with friendly smiles, great conversation and an awesome vibe. Perfect to either sit there and soak it all in or grab a cup to go and walk along the Strand beach prom.
