Metelerkamps is a surprisingly large kitchen shop found in the small seaside town of Knysna, owned by John Metelerkamp and his wife Avril.
John bought it as a small gas appliance business in 2005 and since then he has changed, improved, expanded and then expanded some more. His best move was bringing in his wife who made perhaps the biggest and best changes of all and that was to take us from an appliance business to the destination shop we are today. She has a feel for the beautiful, designer and branded goods and John is brave enough to let her order the things that she likes.
To complement the household items we also sell and install closed combustion wood burners. It is a large part of our business and something we are all very passionate about.

3 weeks agoIt's been 4 or 5 months and I'm still waiting for feedback on an item they sell online but we're out of stock, still waiting for them to let me know they got it in stock like they said they will.Thought It might be quicker buying in store, but I at this moment believe that if I had ordered it online It would have been quickerI went and bought it somewhere els but they were probably too busy.

3 years agoIt is a large store. The store has very high-quality home products. It has a large selection of excellent and luxuries home products. Friendly staff. Good service. The prices of products are high, but the quality is high. It has a coffee shop and a resturant attached to the store. It has plenty of car parking. As a conclusion, this store sells the highest-quilaty home products in Knysna. It is a paradise for ladies to visit and shop in this luxuries store.

4 months agoI’m deeply disappointed in my experience with this supplier. Despite investing in an expensive fireplace and having a long-standing relationship of supporting their business, they have shown a complete lack of care and professionalism.After our purchase, the fireplace coating began peeling before we had even used it. When we raised our concerns, instead of addressing the issue, the supplier accused us — without any evidence — of using paint stripper on the unit, which is simply untrue. Throughout this process, they refused to engage constructively, choosing instead to hold the final balance over our heads as leverage, while ignoring calls and refusing to send anyone to assess the issue firsthand.The level of disregard and poor customer service we experienced has left us with no confidence in their after-sales support. We were forced to settle the outstanding amount simply to put an end to the ordeal, and we will now deal directly with the manufacturer to resolve the issue ourselves.I would not recommend this supplier to anyone seeking high-quality products backed by reliable service.
