4 months agoVery well equipped self-catering house in a great location to visit all the attractions in and around Cape Town (if you have a car). You stay in an annexe behind the main house (if you look at it from the pool), so you have privacy. The beautiful and specious outside space is shared with the owners - we were happy to meet them for a friendly chat, but we also felt that they gave us our space. Great for families - our kids absolutely loved the pool, then garden, and of course the friendly dog!

4 months agoRachael and David were excellent hosts from the start. They contacted us prior to our stay to make sure all our requirements were met. On arrival the fridge contained complimentary items, including milk, eggs, fruit, cheese, bread etc, which was a great touch! Throughout our stay they made sure we had everything we needed and they were quite happy for us to have friends over for a braai (bbq) in their large entertainment area! The cottage itself was very comfortable and spacious and contained all items needed for our stay. Our 2 young kids were also well accommodated for during our stay, with plenty of books and toys for them to use. They loved using the pool and the kids play area on the grounds! The cottage location was perfect for us, being close enough to the areas we wanted to visit, but also far enough from the main roads to enjoy the peace and quiet! We felt incredibly safe during our stay and we'd definitely recommend this place to our friends and family. We will definitely look at booking this cottage on our next stay in Cape Town.

4 months agoThe place is irresistibly beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful. One word to describe it, 'Tranquil' And for very little, you can book a deep sea fishing experience with David May. What a gentleman he is. You will always feel at home.

a year agoAs a family of 5 (3 Generations) we were lucky enough to stay at Plotsklaps in February 2024. What a well thought out holiday home with great attention to detail. The property is in a safe, peaceful location where you can hear and see the bird life and it is within easy access to all the Capes attractions. The outside area is out of this world. We all enjoyed the lapa, pool area and play area and the kids loved meeting Amy the dog. Rachael and Dave were the perfect hosts, there to help out while still respecting your privacy. Our only regret is that we only stayed for 8 nights. We would love to return and will take David up on his offer of a fishing trip. We made some great memories here.
