The restaurant is aesthetically appeasing, it’s quiet which is what stood out for me. i am a pasta fan and they did not disappoint at all👌🏽

The worst restaurant experience I have ever had, and I am the easiest person to satisfy!I actually want other people to visit this restaurant just to have that experience, go in knowing that you'll be disappointed, but do it for the funWe arrived and the menus were so dirty on the inside, like someone spilled coffee or something on it and the pages were stuck together. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered two glasses of wine and a coke. They arrive after a 20-25 minute wait, so the waiter nervously asked us to grab the glasses before they fall off the tray, we did and the wine glasses were filled to the brim, but I mean at least we got a lot of wine. Then the ice bucket still had dish water or something in it, the ice was milky as well, when it melted down it looked like the water after I mopped the floor. We ordered two nachos, one plain and one with mince on it and the braaibroodjie tramezzini I think it was called. The tramezzini arrived 30 minutes later in poor shape, but edible and we were excited to get our nachos. The waiter puts down two plates of loaded fries in front of us, one with mince on as well. We thought they just put it on the wrong table and the waiter insisted that this is our food, then we said that we ordered nachos, and she looks at us with her liver failing eyes and says: "but this is already made for you" We continue to say that we would rather wait for the nachos, so she agrees that she will order the nachos, so takes the plates and then puts them down at another table asking them if they would like the loaded fries I have never seen such a thing. Still positive, we continue to wait another 20 minutes for the nachos, just to have the waiter come over and apologise for the confusion, so we say its no problem, we are just waiting for our nachos, then everything is good. She then says that she never ordered our nachos. I was so surprised and honestly thought she was joking, so the only words I had was: "really" so she says yes we didn't want nachos, I mean it can't get any worse at this point, so we just said we will take the bill, she continues to apologise in a sarcastic voice. We got the bill and she looks at me with those liver failing eyes expecting a tip, but for the first time ever I said unfortunately I can't tip. We then asked someone if we can see the manager, and our waiter arrives again, and says: "you want to see me" so I assume she is the manager. I just explained that we are not angry, we just want them to do better so other clients don't have this experience. She says it has never happened before, but looking at the other reviews here, it has happened far too often.I will happily go again with some friends to laugh at the service.

My experience at the Diaz Hotel & Resort in Mossel Bay, South Africa was top notch and five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️In particular, Stacey-Lee, a Server was outstanding, very professional, and efficient! Stacey greeted me with a warm smile during breakfast time. I selected my food and sat at a table near the window facing the sun. She checked on me in about 15 minutes into eating my breakfast and asked if I needed anything. I told her “No, I’m fine. Thank you.”On my way back to my room, I saw Stacey and asked her if I could take a glass of guava juice up to my room. And she said, “Wait, let me get you a better glass.” She brought me a taller glass and I was able the guava juice properly. On my way to my room I thought to myself, “What a kindhearted person.”Later that evening, my tour guide and I were coming back from the mall. Unfortunately we could not find a good nail spa there. While walking by the front desk, I saw Stacey. I asked her, “if she knew of any nail spas in the area.” She said “yes,” and escorted me to two nail spas. Unfortunately, one nail spa was booked until Monday and the other nail spa nail tech was only available on Tuesday. Stacey was kind enough to reach out to her friend Jazz, is a nail tech. Jazz was able to come by 3:00pm and do my gel manicure and pedicure. Jazz did a wonderful job on my nails and toes. Thanks to Stacey! She went above and beyond with customer service and kindness.I will definitely refer my family and friends to the Diaz Strand Hotel and to ask for Stacey and Jazz!

They did not want to seat us at arrival, needed to clean our own table. My wife's food arrived, and we needed to wait for mine in the end eating separately. The card machine did not work, reversed the payment 7 times and they made me feel like a fool to request a different card, although other customers had the same experience. No mood, no music. Most of the tables were reserved, but when the guest arrived, they choose different tables. Some of the 6-seater tables were occupied by only two people and could have easily been adjusted to accommodate us. What was suppose to be a nice memory and fun time with my wife on the night out turned out to be a disaster, will not consider them ever again. Next time when I decide were to spend my money on food, this place will not be considered
