Our products are made out of locally produced meat. Most animals are produced on our farm on natural grazing with no hormone additives and antibiotics. Our list of products includes: Fresh Beef, Pork, Lamb, Venison and Farm Chickens. We also produce a wide variety of sausages and Salamis. And also traditionally smoked and cured products, Biltong and Droewors. And finally, our Boerewors like no other!
Preserves & Bakes
Bt makes all our preserves on the Farm from seasonal fruit sourced from the local farmers in the region. We also make Rusks, Cookies and Biscotti.
Our Services
You can bring your hunting spoils to us and we will process it into your preferred cuts. We vacuum pack all your meat and also dry your Biltong and Droë Wors on request.

2 weeks agoWe ordered meat 4 days in advance via WhatsApp and email for our holiday, we when we got there on the specific date no one new anything about the order ,the owner said he does not handel orders and called one of his staff and even he didn't know anything, he then wanted to give us frozen meat! this is poor management and it the 3rd time we have a bad experience!!

2 years agoAlways driven past without stopping - how stupid of me! Lovely place with very well stocked gift shop and excellent restaurant. Nice shade to sit outside under the huge tree! This will definitely become a regular stop - highly recommended! And look for the hidden signs around the property - they are funny 🤣🤣

a year agoIf you’re looking for a proper butchery in the countryside with a nice lunch to fill the tummy, look no further than Hooikraal to satisfy both needs. The service is friendly and the food just fine. Nicely priced too!
