3 years agodon’t go. it was a bad experience, no hygienic places to go. showers are not clean, rooms aren’t secure, doors are broken. it feels like as if u are in a jungle. People who were there started complaining the minute they stepped into the reception. no clean blankets, brown pillows. blood on the wall. unknown things on ur bedding. “swimming pool” when it was all a koi pond. no place to sit. unsupervised alcohol. unsanitary bathrooms, kitchen, rooms etc. don’t go!!!! if u are use to your average way of how ur house looks or hotels with average cleaning and perfect sanitary rooms. then don’t go. it’s way out of ur comfort zone. rather book at a lovely place on the coast. but not parkhouse lodge. really disappointed. and the owner doesn’t even keep track of its own place. we paid 1000 rand for a night for a complete rip off so don’t go.

5 years agoVery nice central place to stay. Cozy atmosphere and staff are very friendly. Self catering with communial kitchen works perfect. Communial lounges and braai ensures pleasant mingling with other guests. Fridge and freezer available. Unfortunately you have to park your vehicle in the street, but since its on a dead end, its ok. Only problem is that the dishes is dirty as not all guests do their part properly.

7 years agoWe arrived on friday evening. It was raining and humid. Coming from Cape Town we were tired from a long drive. We were met by a young friendly german girl. She gave us the password to their wifi. Which we later discovered for the duration of our stay of 2 days didnt work at all. We were told it was the bad weather. Got shown to our room....it had a musky mouldy smell combined with hot humid weather and mosquitos. There is no ventelation in the rooms or bathroom. The bathroom had this disgustingly dirty very loud fan in the ceiling that did nothing when switched on but make a very loud noise. There was black mould on the shower walls. The toilet seat had spider poo on. The towels smelt mouldy and wasnt very clean. The bedding was very very old and had stains on. The curtains also had stains on. We couldnt sleep with the windows open because of mosquitos atacking us. So we had a VERY hot sticky stay awake almost the entire evening in a mouldy smelly room. The next morning we were told there is no filter coffee and a sign up in the really dirty old kitchen that we had to wash our own dishes. I do understand its almost like a back packers....but really this place was the worst experience i have ever had in any accomodation i have ever stayed. Mosselbay had won town of the year for 2017....but this place definetely does NOT fit in with the rest of Mosselbay that is so stunning. I will not recommend Park Lodge House to anybody and really hope the owners realise the magnitude of how dirty this establishment is and does something about it. Regards. Tania

5 years agoPlease don't ever use this lodge, "so called" manager lied to my face!!I made a booking for one night, and the day of arrival the "so called" manager Lelanie told me that she phone me several times to confirm booking. Never received any calls from the lodge. I was stranded there without accommodation and then I requested to speak to the owner she told me that "she" live oversee. Surprise, surprise, I spoke to the owner Mr Durr Meyer and he is living in SA!
