7 months agoDon’t be deceived by the tables being occupied outside. There is sufficient space inside too. My new favorite shakshuka destination and my wife had the veggie breakfast. Great food. Amazing value for money and really good service. If there is one down side, that would be the seating for two people is rather cramped. This place is busy and every bit of space is utilized But once you sit down and get your food you quickly forget about the other people around you and you get down to business.

a month agoWe ordered two hot press sandwiches, the one was tasteless and the other average. What was highly frustrating was they arrived ice cold, sent them back and got another which was still cold…can’t be hard to serve a warm sandwich? They didn’t charge for the sandwiches but we went there for a meal we were hoping to enjoy and unfortunately were highly disappointed.

2 years agoCroft & Co is the quintessential coffee stop for any cyclist or runner in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg.They are open from 5am during the week, which makes a convenient stop for cyclists and runners to grab a cup of coffee before heading home. Additionally, your bike is expertly guarded by Brian who also offers a wash service on weekends.It's a fantastic restaurant with tables that look out on to the beautiful leafy streets surrounding the Zoo Lake area.The coffee is fantastic and they also do a delicious chocolate milkshake. The banana bread (ask for it to be extra toasty - trust me on this one) is spectacular. The rest of the menu is also superb with the breakfast burger and breakfast bun being firm favourites.Friendly service, always with a smile. The energy of the owners is also infectious. It's just a lekker place to be.Simply put, in Johannesburg, no one does the early morning café stop like Croft & Co. An absolute institution.
