The Food Hub at Old Nick Village provides you with a diverse, nutrient-dense basket of fair, affordable, healthy, traceable, local and organic food (and delicious wine)
The Food Hub by Thyste is more than just a place — it’s a movement toward food sovereignty, community resilience, and local abundance. We are a locally focused community-driven initiative dedicated to developing a strong farm-to-fork network that supports small-scale farmers and local producers. Through this network, we offer a diverse, nutrient-dense basket of fair, affordable, healthy, traceable, and organic food.
Our mission is to strengthen local food systems by shortening the link between seed and plate, ensuring that producers receive fair value and consumers gain access to fresh, ethical, and nourishing produce. By connecting small-scale farmers directly with the community, we promote sustainable agriculture, empower local economies, and champion food sovereignty — the right of people to access healthy, culturally appropriate food produced through ecologically sound and socially just systems.
What is a Food Hub?
It’s the heart of this exchange — a vibrant, physical space where nourishment, well-being, and a sense of belonging intertwine. It’s where relationships between growers, makers, and eaters thrive, and where the shared vision of a just and sustainable food system takes root and grows.
