Kasi restaurant with a flair for local cuisine and more!
The inspiration for CBS Café came from a cookbook by former president Nelson Mandela’s personal chef Mam’ Xoliswa Ndoyiya titled ‘Ukutya kwaseKhaya (home food).’
Most of our traditional dishes are recipes from this book. Hence it’s no surprise that iSkopo (Afval), Ulusu (tripe), uJeqe (steamed bread) and uMleqwa (run away chicken) are the locals’ favourite. While we focus on South African traditional food we do also serve alternative dishes such as ribs, steak, and burgers.
CBS Café is located on Mayixhale street which is the main street of the township that joins the northern and southern suburb of our town, Mossel Bay.
Some of our fresh produce & meat is sourced from our surrounding small businesses & schools. This is something we take great pride in as it speaks to one of our purposes which is to ensure community development.
CBS Café is your home away from home & we’re looking forward to hosting you because ‘sinama papa aright!’ (we have the right food for you)

a year agoA great place to dine and that accepts bitcoin. I couldn't get enough of the sheep head, Chakalaka and fermented steamed bread. I don't know what the green vegetables were but I enjoyed them equally.
